Forbidden in the UK!

Over on Facebook I have unveiled the cover for the UK edition of Forbidden, which is out in April. If you would like to see it  you can click on the link here, or go to the Home page of my website.  Now I have seen both the UK and the US covers (the US one  is pictured here) I’m a bit torn over which I like the best. I absolutely love the golden gown on the US edition but this new one is gorgeous too. I guess I should just be  grateful that the cover gods keep smiling on me! There’s more exciting news about Forbidden in the UK coming soon. It’s under wraps at the moment, but watch this space!

I love the UK cover! But I’m surprised that there are different covers in the US and the UK. I hadn’t realised that happened.

Thanks, HJ! Yes, the books look completely different in the UK and the US. A different style for a different market, I suppose. They also come out quite a long way apart which I think must be confusing for readers. I know that when publishers give the same book a different title it’s hard for readers to know which books are new and which are reprints.

Like the gold but prefer UK cover content. Both nice, though!

  3. Carol L says:

They are both stunning Nicola. Both in their own ways. But I do love the softness of the blue dress. :)

    Lovely cover, Nicola. Caroline x

Took me a second… thought your books were ‘forebidden in UK’ as in – not allowed –
I’d spaced on that being a title of one of your books.. It’s a beautiful cover!! Congrats!

  6. Carol Cork says:

I do like both covers, Nicola! I happened to buy my copy from The Book Depository and it has the US cover. So I’m a little biased and love the rich colour of that dress.

Thanks, Carol! Yes, I adore that golden colour too! The US and UK styles are very different but so striking. I’m very lucky indeed.
